"BIGFOOT" CAUGHT ON IPHONE

A young woman in Spokane, Washington claims to have captured definitive video footage of the legendary Bigfoot, the elusive ape-like humanoid that famously avoids high definition footage.
The woman in question -- who revealed herself to the media only as "Samantha" -- says she was filming a group of friends hike through Downriver Park in Spokane when her iPhone inadvertently picked up the mythical beast.
Because the creature was some distance away, Samantha didn't notice until she reviewed the footage later at home. A few days later, she uploaded the video to YouTube; the "evidence" was soon viewed by over 700,000 believers and skeptics alike as of May 31 -- with a disproportionate number of "dislike" ratings.
Samantha seems convinced, however.
"I have never given it much thought, but now I'm not so sure," she explained to local news outlet KXLY."Seems real enough to me."
The current top comment on YouTube offers a more rational observation on why it may be fake.
"Any animal or even human that lives in these woods would not casually stroll by when 'intruders' are entering its territory," explained user OmicronTurtle. "It would be very aware of any hikers nearby. It would stay hidden, leave the area undetected, or attack."
In March, a Shelby, North Carolina, man claimed to have a video of the legendary Bigfoot as well.
Thomas Byers, who captured that grainy video, was convinced of his finding more by the smell than by what he saw.
"One thing I know is the smell of it was horrid. It smelled like a cross between road kill and a skunk," he said at the time.
Bigfoot, it seems, really likes to travel.

Snake like flying creature

Hi - I recently had an encounter with a bird-like creature but I know it wasn't a bird - it looked to be a flying person. I know it sounds weird and crazy but I know what I saw. Well here's the whole story. On Feb, 5th around 11:30pm my older sister and her husband were taking me, my little sister, my mom and my two nieces to eat at Denny's in a near town (Fort Myers, FL). Well as we were driving on I75 out of nowhere through the windshield I see a person with wings fly over our car. It went over two times back and forth. I got a good look - it looked like a person with wings but then again it also looked like a pterodactyl (pterosaur). My brother-in-law also saw it and agreed with me. He says it was not a bird! Well that was my encounter with the creature.

My nephew also witnessed a person-like creature. He was walking to his girlfriend's house late at night and by her neighbor's house there are some trees. He said he saw a person / figure standing in the trees looking at him. He asked his girlfriend if she also saw it - she said that its always there. He then started to walk closer to get a better view of it when the creature jumped off the tree onto his girlfriend's neighbors fence causing it to make rattling noise. The dogs started barking and then the creature flew off in front off his eyes. It then ran into his girlfiend's house scared it would come back but it didn't. My nephew's encounter happened in Lehigh Acres, FL a couple of days before my encounter happened! We have no clue as to what it is or why it would be following us?! It is very mind boggling!!

Ewa Beach, Hawaii - 8/15/2005 - unedited: I was living in Iroquois point in Honolulu Hawaii. I came home late at night at around 3am. I went to my room upstairs and sat down on my bed. I had in my room a small radio but this was shut off. I began thinking about things until the event happened. I started hearing a radar in my head.It sounded like a radar from a satellite or a navy ship.I then stood up and said Does anyone else hear that!My sister was sleeping in her room and no one heard me, because everyone was asleep and my door was shut.I sat back down on my bed as the radar continued.I then looked to my right where my window was and saw very bright lights flashing from a u.f.o. extremely close to my window. It began flashing the colors red,yellow,blue,and green simultaneously.As i witnessed this i stood up on my feet and began to walk towards the window.It was then that there was no doubt in my heart and in my mind that this was a genuine u.f.o..I put my hand on the string to lift up the blinds but was sure that i would be traumatized severely if i lifted up those blinds, because of the fact that this u.f.o. was only 5 feet away from my window.I went back to my bed and sat down.The sound of the radar grew louder. I felt as though i was being challenged with this radar.I looked right at the u.f.o. and began to try very hard to make it bow down to me with telekinesis.This did nothing to the u.f.o.. The one who controlled this u.f.o. and this radar decided to end this attempt. Within 3.7 seconds of me trying to do this. the radar jumped extremely loud. I immediately covered my ears and began screaming out of pain from this sound as i fell on my back on the bed.All of these events, i swear to you happened and the attack lasted 8 seconds. The radar stopped and as soon as it stopped my little radio which was turned off came on.The u.f.o. then left.The song lets just kiss and say goodbye the ub40 cover was playing and was this aliens message to me.After 12 seconds of hearing this song i ran to my sisters room across the hallway.I knocked on her door and told her what had happened.I was shaking and she did not believe me.I stayed downstairs after this and continued shaking the rest of the night.I could not go to sleep that night and will never be the same. - MUFON CMS

DEAD WOMAN CLIMBS OUT OF COFFIN

A 95-year-old grandmother terrified her neighbours in China - by climbing out of her coffin six days after she 'died'

Li Xiufeng was found motionless and not breathing in bed by her neighbour more than a fortnight after tripping and suffering a head injury.

When he failed to wake her up, Chen Qingwang assumed the frail grandmother had passed away in her sleep, in the village of Liulou, in Beiliu, Guangxi Province.

Recounting his daily visit to bring the elderly lady breakfast, Mr Qingwang, 60, said: ""She didn't get up, so I came up to wake her up.

"No matter how hard I pushed her and called her name, she had no reactions. I felt something was wrong, so I tried her breath, and she has gone, but her body is still not cold."

According to tradition, the 'dead' woman was laid in her coffin ahead of the funeral for friends and relatives to pay their respects.

But the day before the funeral, Mr Qingwang arrived at his neighbour's house to find the coffin empty and the corpse gone.

"We were so terrified, and immediately asked the neighbours to come for help," he said.

After searching for the missing body, the villagers were stunned to find Mrs Xiufeng sitting on a stool in her kitchen cooking.

She reportedly told villagers: "I slept for a long time. After waking up, I felt so hungry, and wanted to cook something to eat. I pushed the lid for a long time to climb out."

A county hospital reportedly believes Mrs Xiufeng suffered an artificial death, during which the person has no breath, but the body remains warm. - orange.co.uk

'Dog-Headed Pig Monster' Sightings

Some say it's a witch doctor, a warlock, or a work of black magic. Others say it's a hybrid animal somewhere between a dog and a pig. But whatever it is, residents in Namibia are saying the strange creature they've seen wreaking havoc on their villages is nothing they've ever encountered before, according to the website Life's Little Mysteries.

Villagers living near the Kalahari desert in northern Namibia have reported seeing an odd creature with a head like a dog and the shoulders of a pig, mostly white in color and with hairless spots on its back, according to the site.

They say the beast has been attacking dogs, goats and other domestic animals seemingly out of nowhere, as the region's arid landscape is sparse in trees and shrubbery where animals might hide.

"This is an alien animal that the people have not seen before. We don't have a forest here, only bushes. So, this must be black magic at play," Andreas Mundjindi, a Namibian official, told the newspaper Informante.

One resident who spoke with Informante said villagers are taking precautions against the creature by staying in groups, and that many believe it's an intelligent being that came from the house of a grey-haired man.

"Everyone believes it is his beast and even he knows that we think so," the villager told Informante. "When it comes our side in the night, all the dogs are barking, but if it goes back west, then it’s all hush. People must be safe. We don’t want to be mauled by things we don’t know."

The sightings follow a number of reports out of Africa in recent years involving alleged sightings of strange creatures. In 2009, the Namibian newspaper New Era reported that a number of villagers had filed complaints with police stating that a mysterious tiger-like creature had been sucking blood of their livestock.

Police spokeswoman Christina Fonsech told the paper that police tried to track the creature's footprints, which were doglike, though bigger.

"We followed them but they walked until a spot where they just vanished," Fonesch told New Era. "It’s difficult to explain what happened to those footprints because they looked as if they climbed onto something but it was in an open space, so we don’t know what happened."

One elusive creature of legend from the Congo region, known as the "Mokele-mbembe," has intrigued myth hunters for years. Believed by some to be the surviving ancestor of a dinosaur, similar to the rumored Loch Ness Monster, the animal has been reported in sightings as far back as 1776, according to research by cryptozoologist William Gibbons.

Gibbons published a description of the creature, written by a German captain during a colonial expedition of the Congo in 1913:

The animal is said to be of a brownish gray color ... its size approximating that of an elephant. It is said to have a long and very flexible neck. Some spoke of a long muscular tail like that of an alligator. Canoes coming near it are said to be doomed; the animals are said to attack the vessels at once and to kill the crews but without eating the bodies. The creature is said to live in the caves that have been washed out by the river in the clay of its shores at sharp bends. It is said to climb the shore even in daytime in search of its food; its diet is said to be entirely vegetable.

5300 YEAR OLD ICEMAN FOUND. See Pictures

They called him "the Tyrolean iceman" when hikers found him in the Italian Alps in 1991 -- the frozen corpse of a man from 5,300 years ago, remarkably well-preserved.
The man became one of the most-studied cadavers of modern times. Scientists nicknamed him Oetzi, after the Oetztal Alps, where he was found, and tried to unravel the mystery he presented.
Now, researchers from Europe and the U.S. have sequenced his genome -- his complete DNA -- and found he suffered many of the same ailments people do today. They reported he was genetically predisposed to heart disease, and can lay claim to having had the earliest documented case of Lyme disease.
"The Iceman probably had brown eyes, belonged to blood group O and was lactose intolerant," the researchers wrote in the journal Nature Communications.

Scientists have decoded the genome of the 5,300-year-old Tyrolean iceman, found in 1991 in the Alps close to the border between Austria and Italy.

"What's fascinating is that it's so incredibly well-preserved," said Carlos D. Bustamante, a population geneticist at Stanford Medical School in California, who helped in the analysis of the genome. "When you look at DNA, so much of it is usually contaminated with bacteria and the like."
Researchers were able to find uncontaminated DNA by taking a sample from Oetzi's hip.
Whoever he really was, he lived a hard life. He was probably about 45 years old, stood 5-foot-5 and had been sick several times in the months before he died. Scientists think he was killed by an arrow shot into his left shoulder.
They got a surprise when they compared his DNA to a database of modern Europeans. His genome most closely matches what they find in residents of Sardinia, an island hundreds of miles away in the Mediterranean off the Italian coast.
"Are Sardinians closer to people like him from back then?" asked Bustamante. "Or was he Sardinian, and on vacation in the Alps?"
It's likely there has been substantial migration in the millennia since the Iceman died, Bustamante said.
"It's also very possible he could have been a rambler who happened to die in the mountains," he added.

My Personal Encounter with Bigfoot

My interest in cryptozoology began the day I witnessed a creature that was beyond my belief or, what I thought, boundries of reality. The incident was reported to a BFRO investigator several years ago in hope that they may be able to get further information from local authorities. Unfortunately, this investigator was unable to help.

The date of the encounter was May 9, 1981 about 10:00 am and I was flyfishing for redeye and smallmouth bass on the south branch of the Patapsco River approximately 1 mile downstream from Rt.32 near Sykesville, Maryland. The weather was sunny and slightly breezy and the air temperature was in the low 60’s. This section of river flattens out into riffles then empties into a larger pool, an area I had fished several times previously.

I was on the south bank near the riffles when I noticed a stray mixed breed dog sniffing around the weeds and thickets on the north bank. The dog was about 50 yards from me and was weaving in and out of the brush. I wasn’t worried about the dog bothering me, so I just put it out of my mind and concentrated on fishing.

After a few minutes or so, I heard the dog barking and growling. I figured that he stirred up a deer, but when I looked at the direction of the ruckus I noticed a dark hairy creature bobbing up and down in the thickets. I stopped fishing and moved closer to the riffles to get a better look and noticed that the dog stopped barking. Suddenly, I heard a loud yelp from the dog and the creature stood up. The best I could tell is that this “thing” was about 7-8 ft. tall and had dark matted hair. I could only see the body from the chest up because the rest of the body was obscured by the weeds and thickets. I stood completely still and could hear a series of “tick” sounds while observing this creature walk slowly through the thickets towards the woods. I started to follow it and in the meantime I noticed a strong musky scent that reminded me of fox urine.

I had waders on so I could only move so fast in an attempt to get a better look at this creature. It simply moved too fast for me. I decided to go back to my car, drive into Sykesville and make an immediate report to the authorities. On my way back to the vehicle, I noticed the dog and it had noticeable blood around the neck and hind area but seemed to be able to get around. I figured I better stay away for the dog regardless.

I drove to the nearest telephone which was located outside a bar. The local police told me to go back to the area and they would meet me there. So I got back into the car (I seriously thought about going into the bar for a minute first, but better judgement made me change my mind) and started to drive back to the river. I was amazed that a Maryland State Police cruiser was already there. The State Police officer told to get back in my car and leave immediately because they didn’t know how dangerous the situation was. I tried to explain to him that I made the initial report, but he refused to let me talk and again told me to leave. I went back to the area about 1 hour later and the place was crawling with people and many state and other official vehicles. One man standing near the road did tell me that someone found some hair samples but refused to say anything else.

For many years, I tried to gather information from local authorities in regards to this incident, but I have always been told that “no information is available” or “we have no report of an incident”. Since that time, I have decided that I would do my own investigations and find information on my own.

Follow up...I received this comment to this incident:

This sure brings up some old memories. I always expected that sooner or later it would get out. I'm glad someone else saw it and kicked over the can. I'll add beans.

I was one of the responders on that call. Right after we'd closed down the road a government response team arrived. Those guys weren't fooling around. Their big dogs and bigger guns made that evident. It wasn't long before we were locked out: ordered into our cruisers and away from the area. The "into our cruisers" part was the weirdest. We were outmanned, outgunned and outranked by the feds who had taken over. Soon after that, within an hour at most, several choppers were overhead... as in three. It was a manhunt on a larger scale than we could have mustered so quickly, and that is saying a lot.

I've never really been positive what happened. None of our guys had actually seen "it," though I imagine "it" was caught or killed. They said there were hair samples and footprint photos and casts taken. We were debriefed and basically instructed not to speak of this matter. With that I'll close and say no more except that it did happen as described on here.
